Heritage Open Day

As part of this year’s Heritage Open Days programme, the mill opened on 6 September for visitors to view ongoing works to restore the mill buildings and machinery. Both tours were free but places were limited and had to be booked in advance. The architects, builders and millwrights were on hand to explain our plans and how they are being carried out. A separate preview for volunteers and others involved with the Trust took place on 30 August. Heritage Open Days operate as part of the National Trust with funding from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. The tours had an enthusiastic response from volunteers and visitors.
