PRACTICALITIES

Car parking facilities are very limited in Boot village itself. Parking is possible at nearby Dalegarth railway station, 5-10 mins scenic walk away. Day parking tickets are currently £5. Alternatively, you can get the steam train to Dalegarth station from Ravenglass.

No previous experience is necessary.

Toilet facilities are available at Eskdale Mill and Dalegarth station.

In the event of adverse weather on arrival, the workshop may need to be temporarily postponed.

You may want to extend your day by a visit to the mill afterwards. Last entry is at 4pm. Admission charges apply.
