Our 2026 events listing so far include:

  • Willow Weaving with Helen Elvin from Elvin Crafts, Thurs 23rd April – make yourself a rustic plant stand (£50) Pay here
  • Identify meadow grasses and flowers with Rob Dixon from Wild Lakeland, Mon 25th May (£26 +booking fee)Pay here
  • Greenwood Crafts – Spoonmaking with Steve from Steve Tomlin Crafts, Sunday 31st May (£110 +booking fee)
  • Landscape watercolour painting with Steph Sykes from Check out my Plumage, Sunday 28th June (£50 +booking fee)
  • Scything training with Steve from Steve Tomlin Crafts, Thursday 17th September (£110 +booking fee)

All prices include materials, refreshments and admission into the mill.

Tools and equipment are provided, when needed.

Beginners are welcome.

Due to the type of activities, spaces are limited.

Booking is essential to secure your place.

For bookings, you can email Kate for card payments over the phone, pay directly at reception or make your online payment above.

We’re hoping to receive funding soon to support free family events in the summer, so watch this space ……..

Toilet facilities are available at the mill.

There are no parking facilities at the mill or in Boot village. Parking for the village is available at Dalegarth Station, a 10 minutes scenic walk away.

All disabled users are encouraged to arrange parking in the village beforehand with Kate the Mill Manager
