Our trustees need new expertise

Eskdale Mill in Boot is the last remaining working water powered corn mill in the Lake District National Park and has developed into a superb visitor attraction (with award-winning exhibitions) in the last couple of years. It makes a valuable contribution to tourism and provides volunteer opportunities in the valley. Visitor feedback has consistently been extremely positive: “to be invited to pass through the mill’s long history is a real delight”

We’re just coming to the end of our major restoration project and need to consolidate our success and plan for the future.

We are seeking to recruit Trustees who can bring new skills into the management team such as business development, income generation, tourism, education, human resources and volunteer management but would be interested to hear from anyone who would like to support the attraction in celebrating the industrial and social heritage of the valley.
We’d particularly like those who live locally to get involved.

We’d love to hear from you
